Overview

When building an engine, we know that is can be a time consuming project, not to mention plenty of labor. Using our many years of experience with VW/Audi engines, we are now offering assembled short blocks to make your engine build a breeze. We have developed the ideal combination of parts for these engines using our in-house Superflow SF-902 engine dyno. These are all AAA 12V VR6 blocks. The stage 1 short blocks are rated for use up to 750BHP.

Block machining features
Cleaned to remove grease and dirt
Main journals are align honed with ARP studs installed
Cylinders are bored and honed
Deck is inspected and resurfaced
Crankshaft is polished and oil holes are chamfered
Piston rings are file fit
Short block assembled with all clearances checked
New intermediate shaft bearings are installed

Each short block goes through a tedious inspection process before and after machining and assembly.

Stage 1 short block features
Integrated Engineering 164x20MM H beam connecting rod set with 5/16" ARP 2000 bolts
JE 83MM bore, 9:1CR piston set
ARP main stud kit
OE main bearings, rod bearings, and thrust washers
OE intermediate shaft bearings

Included with each block is an engine specification sheet with all measured clearances, 6 quarts of Brad Penn break in oil, and break in instructions.

Each block is painted with black enamel before shipping. The completed blocks are packaged inside a plastic bag with a desiccant pouch to remove any moisture that may accumulate during shipping. They are then bolted into specially made engine shipping crates to ensure there is no damage during shipping. The crates are shipped via FedEx Freight, which is insured to the full value of the crate contents.
