There's something more aggressive, more substantial, more satisfying about the look of a Porsche - or almost any car -on a wider track. With H&R Track+ Porsche Wheel Spacers from USP Motorsports, you can widen the track on your 911 or Boxster easily and affordably. In return for a small investment, your Porsche will look like a million.
The purpose of wheel spacers is partly cosmetic: With H&R 15mm spacers on the back and 7mm spacers on the front, your wheels and tires appear to fill up more of each wheel well. Spacers also really do widen your track, which can lead to more balanced, efficient handling.
H&R wheel spacers - whether you choose wheel spacers for your Porsche Boxster or Porsche 911- mount between the wheel and the hub at each corner, moving your wheels and tires outward. The spacers are sized to add width without resulting in scraping against the fender lips.
The mathematical difference once spacers are mounted is not huge, but the difference in appearance is immeasurable. Don't be surprised if you're asked whether you got wider tires or bigger wheels - it happens all the time. Just smile and know that with H&R Track+ Wheel Spacers, you spent a lot less than if you had re-shoed your ride.
H&R Special Springs designs, engineers and manufactures these wheel spacers and the longer bolts they require in Germany, just as Porsche did for your car. The spacers are lightweight but have heavy-duty strength from an aluminum/magnesium alloy. The surface wears a hard, anodized coating that promotes durability and discourages corrosion.
Each kit includes four spacers (two 15mm for the back wheels, two 7mm for the front wheels) and 20 silver Porsche-style bolts (five for each wheel).
If you can change a tire, you can install an H&K Wheel Spacer Kit. You'll need your jack and a lug wrench, both of which your Porsche should have. You certainly don't need a compressor and an air-powered impact wrench, but they make the job even easier. One corner at a time, you jack up the car and remove a wheel. With the wheel removed, you place a spacer over the hub, making sure the holes line up. Then you replace the wheel, using the longer bolts that come with the kit.
And that fast, your Porsche looks and handles better.
